if there are vehicles moving on a priority road
10) Allowing no priority to vehicles moving on the
right side when they reach the intersection where there are equal movement
priorities, when there are no priority signals
11) Allowing no priority of movement for vehicles on
the main road if there no priority signals
12) Violating traffic police hand signals while
organizing traffic and not giving his hand signals priority to traffic lights
13) Allowing no priority of movement for vehicles in
a roundabout by the vehicles outside it in the absence of lights signals or
traffic policeman who organizes traffic
14) Endangering lives by driving a vehicle without
breaks or necessary equipment (vehicle will be kept in custody until settlement
of violation)

driving in bad weather conditions

kept in custody until settlement of violation)
4) Fixing equipment on the vehicle like
those used in official and emergency vehicles (vehicle will be kept in custody
until violation is settled)
5) Not stopping while the red traffic light
was on
6) Overtaking school buses when they stop
to load or unload
7) Driving public works vehicles
(industrial, constructional, or agricultural) on road without taking proper
precautions to avoid their negative effects (vehicle will be kept in custody
until violation is settled)
8) Tampering with traffic regulating signs
9) Not stopping at check points when there
is a check point sign
10) Using unauthorised devices inside the
vehicle or fixing logos or posters contrary to public morals

Fines not less than (S.R.5000) and not more than
(S.R.10000)
1) Concealing or trying to conceal or blur the
special features of the vehicle (vehicle will be kept in custody until
violation is settled)
2) Driving under the influence of alcohol,
drugs or medicine which was warned not to drive if taken
3) Carrying out road-works before notifying
the relevant authorities

Violation Name
1) The driver does not stand at the accident scene,
does not report the accident and does not provide the necessary assistance to
the accident victims. (A fine not more than (S.R.10000), a jail for a period
not exceeding three months or both penalties)
2) Repairing the vehicle's exterior, making
modification that affects the vehicle's dimensions, weight or engine force, or
making changes in the shape or color of the vehicle, or removing its chassis
registration numbers without prior authorization ( First time: Fines S.R.10000
minimum - S.R.50000 maximum.) (Second time: Doubling the fine decided in the
first time) (Third time: Doubling the fine decided in the second time and
closing the workshop)
3) Taking into custody, mortgaging or holding on a
driving license, or vehicle registration license by any person (Fines minimum:
S.R.1000 to maximum: S.R.2000)
4) Opening a show-room to sell vehicles without
getting approval of the Traffic Dept. and obtaining the commercial register. (Fines
S.R.100,000)
5) Allowing any sold vehicle to move outside the
show-room prior to ownership transfer or delivering of the show-room contracts
and adding the vehicle to other persons. (First time: S.R.1500) (Second time:
S.R.3000) (Third time: S.R.8000 and one month's closure) (Fourth time: license
cancellation)
6) Making modification, change or abrasion in the
sales records, or selling or renting the show-room without getting an approval
from the relevant department. (First time: Fines S.R.10000 minimum - S.R.50000
maximum) (Second time: Doubling the fine decided in the first time) (Third
time: Doubling the fine decided in the second time and one month's closure) (Fourth
time: license cancellation)
7) Failure to inform the Traffic Department about
the sale or damage of a vehicle outside the Kingdom (Fine not exceeding
S.R.10,000)
8) Over-drifting violation. (First time: Vehicle
will be booked for 15 days; the violator will be fined S.R.20,000 and referred
to court to consider jailing him) (Second time: Vehicle will be booked for one
month; the violator will be fined S.R.40,000 and referred to court to consider
jailing him) (Third time: Violator will be fined S.R.60,000 and referred to
court to decide into confiscating the vehicle or fining him the same value of
the rented or stolen vehicle and jail him)
